SPEAK Music

SPEAK Music launched a new kind of music management, publicity and promotions company on Sunday March 14th, 2004 at "Nia at C'est What".

Now, three years later, SPEAK Music continues to celebrate "making music happen" on Wednesday April 4th, 2007, with:

Grainne Ryan (9:30pm)

Jon Brooks (10:00pm)

Ian North (10:30pm)

Michael Cavan (11:00pm)

Kevin Phillips and the It Men (11:30)

The company is founded in grassroots initiatives and has always been artist-centric. Through the dedication and "dynamism" of its organiser, Jennifer Claveau (Kerry Doole), one of the many goals of SPEAK Music will be to infuse new energy into the local live music scene, generating performance opportunities for all artists before wider audiences.

Jennifer Claveau has been an enthusiastic supporter of the Toronto music scene for the past several years. She has a background both as a respected artist and musician and as a creative organizer. Lead singer and songwriter for her band Likewater, she has been a college radio producer and on-air host for visual arts and music programs, performer and panelist at NXNE, College Instructor for Seneca College's Independent Music Production Program. Claveau continues to run the weekly Groovy Mondays Open Stage and Concert Series at the NOW Lounge, which she started six years ago. She is currently working on a secret artistic solo project, to be revealed at a later date.  Stay tuned!
