Paul McLeod

Paul McLeod is a songwriter. His two independent recordings, have received nothing but laudatory reviews. Paul will tell you this is because of the songs.

The Skydiggers and Martin Tielli will tell you otherwise. They have both included Paul in their illustrious careers for his musical talents and live performance. Paul will tell you this is because of his love of cocktails and that he is, generally, a "good hang."

Paul McLeod. Great songs. Good Hang.

Sterling Moss are a trio bent on sonic manipulation via extended improvisational jams and looping soundscapes.

Taking time off from working as hired guns for Wild Strawberries, Kathryn Rose & Sarah Slean the music made by this trio is not for the faint of heart or radio friendly listener, rather music made for interaction, abstraction and innovation. Truly an interesting journey.

Beautiful Senseless straddle the fine line between Can-rock Rheostatic influences and an all together rootsy vibe that is a welcome flavour in the mix. The band holds the tension of a musical moment with a mature power, lyrical finesse and a rare committment to "finding the song."

Beautiful Sensless is joined by The Burnettes and Little Man Hands on Saturday August 9. Advance tickets are available.

The recipe? Dub, reggae, soul, funk and jazz with intelligent lyrics and lush harmonies.

"Strummed acoustic guitars frame wistful melodies, while tasteful layers of synth and contemporary rhythms provide a comfortable but not overpowering texture. Baird's taffy-sweet voice sails you through the verses and brings you home with choruses of richly layered harmonies." - Jim Kelly, Canadian Musician Magazine
