Paul McLeod is a songwriter. His two independent recordings, Tell The Band To Go Home and Close and Play, have received nothing but laudatory reviews.
Paul will tell you this is because of the songs. The Skydiggers and Martin Tielli will tell you otherwise. They have both included Paul in their illustrious careers for his musical talents and live performance. Paul will tell you this is because of his love of cocktails and that he is, generally, a "good hang."
Paul McLeod. Great songs. Good Hang. The first Wednesday of every month at nia.
Advance tickets are available for his March 5 show.

Local twang hero Scott B (Sympathy) and his combo drop in for an intimate evening of cool roots and country flavoured twang on Saturday March 8.
Advance tickets are available.
Rhonda Stakich is a talented singer and guitarist, born and raised in Edson, Alberta with stops along the way in Edmonton, Vancouver, and currently Toronto. Her music combines roots with jazz and excursions into some serious groove - be it funk or reggae based.
Also on the bill Thursday March 13 is local singer/songwriter Annelise Norhona. No stranger to embracing decibel strength, she is acclaimed for rocking as hard as the boys...
Advance tickets are available.
Sounds like... The Irish Rovers covered by The Ramones in a Halifax beer garden.
The Mere Mortals unleash a Celtic flavoured slice of Canadiana with the fury of a thrash band. Unabashed drinking and singing music with clever lyrics and memorable choruses. A safe bet for this raucous day, this band knows how to get the party going, and keep it going.
Advance tickets are available for their St. Patrick's Day show on Monday March 17.
Morgan Finaly's recently released EP Uppercut blends rough guitars of an edgy rock sound and easy funk grooves that pulse under Finlay's passionate growl.
Advance tickets are available for his Thursday March 20 show.

Influenced by some of the great musical icons, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon, Kat Goldman's on stage persona is a musical cocktail. A distinctive blend of coffee house comfort and snappy pop pertinence.
Harmony Trowbridge's songwriting combines blues, folk, country and twang in ways that lead the listener away from the genre specific middle-of-the-road to a place more original, more personal and ultimately more fresh.
Ronley Teper creates music that is a "syncretic" mish mash of styles blurring the lines from Roots, Jazz, Blues to World Pop, and Folk. Her music has been described as reminiscent of the stories of Tom Waits, the soul of Cassandra Wilson, and the girlishness of Ricky Lee Jones.
Advance tickets are available for this triple bill on Saturday March 22 show.
