Football Fritatas
As well as opening at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sundays to serve our weekend brunch menu accompanied by the "beautiful game" on our TVs we are also showing the nightly 11 p.m. feature game from the top leagues around the world. Although soccer is the biggest participant sport in Canada, we will be skipping the Saturday night replay in favour of Hockey Night In Canada. Some traditions have to be followed, even with a seven second delay.

Rum Tasting
The novelty has worn off and even avid skiers are starting to wish that the white powdery stuff was sand and not snow. We have a cure for those third month of winter blues: A rum tasting. Hey, for under thirty dollars it's a lot more affordable than the flight south and we won't subject you to the body cavity search either.
Here's the itinerary: Your adventure begins Wednesday March 10 at 7:00 p.m. To avoid being left behind please arrive up to one hour early. There are ten stops including the little seen Appleton 21 yr., Mount Gay Extra Old, and what tour would be complete without Newfie Screech.
Reserved tickets are available for $27.50 (all taxes and charges included) online.

Relative newcomers on the local Toronto scene, Mr. Something Something serve up groove heavy West African roots, with breaks and basslines designed to induce and sustain a state of ecstatic dancing. The horn section strikes with power and uplifts with melody. Above it all, acting as a lightning-rod, is the lyric statement for change and consciousness... and dance. Really...
Advance tickets are available for this show which also features Synthetic Folk Hero on Wednesday March 17.
Brian MacMillan's music is a gentle blend of pop and folk, easily accessible and immediately familiar.
Influences ranging from Cat Stevens, Greg Brown, and John Hartford all the way over to artists in the jazz spectrum like Kurt Rosenwinkel and Bill Frisell, have helped to shape his beautiful blend of styles. MacMillan is currently promoting his latest release Gone to See The Morning.
Advance tickets are available for this Thursday March 18 show with Ladybird Sideshow.

Elliott Brood...alt country in all it's glory.
But wait... not a watered down, lifeless, facsimile. Elliott Brood are the under-side, the darker and grittier side of things. Banjo keeping time to a strange and chunky, angular stomp, vicious acoustic guitar way off the map, and aching, somber confessional vocal harmonies that speak of loneliness and bible thumping southerners. The Real Thing.
Advance tickets are available for this show with Donovan Woods on Friday March 19.

Williamson appears with Adam Cotton, and Greg MacPherson on Saturday March 20. Advance tickets are available. Advance ticket holders will receive a free copy of our indie compilation CD Local Flavour 2003 featuring the song Counting Sheep by Tamara Williamson.
