Kim
Deschamps
Multi-instrumentalist,
session musician, producer and composer Kim Deschamps
has a pretty impressive resume.
Having
recorded four albums with Cowboy Junkies (including
"The Trinity Sessions" and "Caution Horses"),
he has also worked as a session/concert musician for over
100 Canadian artists including Barenaked Ladies,
Lee Aaron, Junkhouse, Crash Vegas and
Andrew Cash not to mention his regular sideman gig
playing pedal steel guitar with Blue Rodeo since
1992.
Touted
as one of Canada's finest players, Deschamps' characteristic
sound and emotional phrasing are in fine form on his 1998
solo release "Take Me Away". Deschamps and his band
showcased material from this recording as part of Canadian
Music Week on Friday March 5 at 11 pm.
