Benefit for Women In Transition Rant Mode On Productions is pleased to present a benefit for Women in Transition featuring the star studded line-up of Emm Gryner, Sarah Slean, Feist, Simon Wilcox, Erin Smith, and Andrea Florian. Following up on the huge success of Rant Mode On's benefit for the Red Cross' Kosovo Relief Fund last July at C'est What, this year's show will benefit local women's group Women in Transition, an agency dedicated to the operation of two emergency shelters for women and their children fleeing domestic violence. Supported by the United Way of Greater Toronto, the shelters offer 24-hour crisis response, counseling and support services as well as follow-up assistance with services such as Legal Aid. The benefit welcomes home headliner Emm Gryner, who has been touring the globe as a member of David Bowie's band. Joining Gryner will be a host of celebrated singer-songwriters, including piano songstress Sarah Slean, former By Divine Right guitarist Leslie Feist, the ever alluring and much talked about Simon Wilcox, and longtime stalwarts of the local indie scene, Erin Smith and Andrea Florian.
