Sleeps Six Sleeps Six have been gaining increasing attention for putting a fresh face on the often tired sound of roots/folk based music. The band is fronted by Pauline Groen's soaring, passionate vocals, her ear for dark haunting melodies and powerful, brooding writing. Ranging from slippery Cowboyesque melodies to fiery confessions at the altar of love and religion, Sleeps Six turn acoustic music into a full out assault on the senses. The forceful nature of the songs is complimented by a dynamic and well versed band that knows how to change gears effortlessly.
