Tequila Tasting This went way beyond shooters. An amazing array of agave inspired distillations were analysed by our dedicated crew of spirits enthusiasts on Wednesday January 19. The attendees were not dissapointed with the range and quality of the offerings giving a few of them scores worthy of a single malt. There was something for everyone from straight up sippers, subtle mixers, and hair raising shooters. The Herradura Añejo led the pack with an intriguing barrel bouquet and a velvety finish. The Reposados from Tenoch and Hornitos impressed with a spicey minty character and the Monte Alban Mezcal was hard to miss with a lingering aroma of burnt tires and a worm floating at the bottom of the bottle. |
