Beer-To-Go: Summer Mix-Six

Victoria’s Secret Six-Pack

Celebrate the traditional start of Canadian summer with a mix-6 that has the quality and variety to please everyone at your picnic  whether they’re a Monarchist or not.

Dream City Vienna Lager

Fairweather Brewing. Amber Vienna lager brewed with noble hops & malted barley from ze Germans. 4.8% ABV, 473 mL can.

Dream Pop w Peach & Pineapple

Fairweather Brewing. Hoppy sour ale fermented with peaches and pineapple. 6.1% ABV, 473 mL can.

Watermelon Lime Salted Gose

Henderson Brewing. This watermelon gose is a real palate pleaser and yes, it tastes as good as it looks. Notes of tart citrus and watermelon jolly ranchers are complimented by a lingering salinity to give you the best sweet and salty combo. 4.4% ABV, 473 mL can.

Glad Day Belgian Blonde

Henderson Brewing. The recipe for this Belgian blonde was developed with the Pride Flag as an inspiration. Our brewers utilized an ingredient for each colour on the flag. Red is raspberries, orange is orange peel, yellow is pale barley malt, green is hops, blue is water and purple is heather flowers. While we call it a Belgian ‘blonde’, Glad Day pours a hazy pink colour with notes of tart raspberries, fruity esters and a hint of herbal, floral hops. 4.0% ABV, 473 mL can.

Continental Rift – West Coast

Great Lakes Brewing. A clear bodied pale golden IPA? What have we done? Once you get past the lovely, springy, bouncy, dense white head, your nostrils will pick up huge notes of juicy grapefruit, passionfruit, skinned peach and ripe mango, thanks to the generous amount of ‘super pellet hops’, Cryo Pop. Pineapple, grapefruit and very subtle pine are the stars upon each sip. The dry, bitter finish brings out some of that wonderful pine we love so dear along with 70 bittering units to boot. If you’re looking for old school, so cool, west coast fuel from GLB, like our IPAs of yesteryears, we got ya with this one. 6.5% ABV, 473 mL can.

Continental Rift – East Coast

Great Lakes Brewing. Unlike the West Coast version, this New England IPA is as hazy as all get out! Light yellow in colour with a fluffy white chapeau, aromas of peach, pineapple and freshly zested orange pop from the glass. The soft bodied, creamy IPA offers up flavours of more pineapple, strawberry, mango and evergreen. It’s juicy. Juicy as heck. It’s bright and light, and frankly, quite crushable, even at 6.5%. At 20 IBU, the tropical aromas and flavours are the highlights of this party. 6.5% ABV
